Paul Simon in Israel this July

The Internationally admired singer, Paul Simon, will give one concert at the Ramat-Gan stadium this coming July and thus join a growing number of performers coming to Israel, including Kruder and Dorfmeister, Enrique Iglesias, Roxette, Suede, Moby, Bryan FerryDuran Duran and Bob Dylan. Simon, aged 69 - very soon to be 70, is touring the world in order to promote his new album "So Beautifull or So What" which recently came out and has received very good reviews. The tour began around April and so far has been doing great. 

A bit about Paul Simon for those of you a bit less familiar:
- He was born in New-Jersey, USA, is Jewish and has been married 3 times. 
- His way to fame began in 1965 as part of a duo "Simon and Garfunkel" who became famous for the following 3 songs (among others): 
- In 1970, at the height of their fame, the pair split up and Simon began his solo career. At the beginning of his solo career Simon was highly influenced by the music played in the slum areas of poverty stricken South-Africa during the years of the apartheid. Simon actively contributed to movements against the apartheid.  
- During his musical career Simon won 13 Grammy awards and in 2001 he was included in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. 
- Time magazine included Simon in the list of the 100 most influential people who helped shape today's world.
